Are you a die-hard foodie? I love all things food so it's no surprise that I went to the Fancy Food Show. More than 2,400 companies offered samples of their food, cheeses, wines, and so much more!
I got reacquainted with old friends such as Nirmala Narine, author of "Nirmala's Kitchen" and a frequent guest on my radio show, "Living Today."
I also met new friends from the Great San Saba River Pecan Company in Texas. They produce heavenly peach, pecan, and amaretto preserves that I like to serve spread atop cream cheese along with wheat crackers.
Assisted by her proud sons, Olga Miranda, from El Salvador, displayed her cookbook and products.
It's wonderful to take advantage of any tasting event in your area. Who doesn't want to try new flavors and dishes? The experience will open your senses to new culinary delights!
What's your favorite fancy food or wine?

Oh I love Nirmala! Her cookbook is fantastic, I would loved to have met her.
The rest of the event is an gastronomic delight! All the vendors look amazing with their food creations.
I don't know if this would be considered fancy food or not, but I do love great dark chocolates with fleur de sel. The combination of rich, sweet and salty undertones is out of this world.
