That's just one of the questions asked on air last night during the premiere of "Turn and Burn" -- Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert's new show. They had fellow chef Mario Batali in the studio with them to answer this question -- and many more. Bourdain admits that he's a super fan of MTV's "Jersey Shore" (hell yeah!) because he's from Jersey. Ripert admitted that a "Jersey Shore" cast member ate at Le Bernadin recently, but he didn't recall which one. Listen to them geek out about the "Jersey" cast in the audio clip below.
They also talked about the "C" word: "Celebrity Chef." Batali thinks the term is meaningless. "It's a character you're supposed to play," he explained. "Is it good for the world -- this [celebrity chef] phenomenon? It's good for us," admits Bourdain. Listen to the two clips below.
In this clip, listener Mark asks if the chefs ever get tired of dining in five-star restaurants. Listen to the men talk about their after-work taste and if they suffer from fine-dining fatigue.
If you want to see the men in action, watch them below -- they're discussing the "Tao of Ruth" aka Ruth Riechl's tweets. Which Bourdain describes as "magnificently deranged in a really cool, good way, like she's living inside an MFK Fisher novel."
"It's time for some filthy, nasty, dirty food porn," announces Bourdain. Find out what out-of-this-world dishes these guys have recently eaten. At the end of the clip Bourdain takes a funny jab at Batali!
