1 As soon as we arrived in Miami for our tailgate party broadcast, Operations Manager Neil Golub and I headed to Emeril's Miami Beach for an amazing dinner. Chef's family and friends were all there to celebrate the Saints and enjoy lots of great food.
2 Chef Emeril was working in the kitchen all night alongside, from left to right, Chef Bernard, Emeril's Director of Culinary for Florida, Chef Jason from Emeril's Orlando, and Chef Greg from Tchoup Tchoup.
3 Diners kept poking their heads in the kitchen all night to catch a glimpse of the chefs as they prepared dinner.
4 Neil and I tried to taste as many dishes as we could. This is Emeril's signature gumbo filled with shrimp and lots of spice.
5 Neil had filet mignon covered in melted blue cheese. He didn't leave a crumb!
6 I had a delicious dish of local snapper that was cooked with lemon and herbs.
7 The dining room was packed with plenty of Saints fans and a few athletes in town for the big game. Although the Who Dat Nation decked me out in lots of Saints beads during dinner, my hometown quarterback Donovan McNabb of the Philadelphia Eagles was still nice enough to pose for a photo with me. That's a painting of Chef Emeril behind us.
8 When Chef Mario Batali arrived for dinner, Chef Emeril came out of the kitchen to greet him at the bar. That's my sazarac you see in the lower left corner! Emeril's Miami Beach is surely ideal place for an amazing dinner. Nevertheless there are more places like this, more islands of culinary delight. Such a restaurant is Mi Ami Italian Cafe.
