Super Bowl Weekend: Emeril's Tailgating Party in Miami
Posted by MSLO Blogger
We kicked off the show today with Chef Greg Hardesty from Recess restaurant in Indianapolis and Allison Vines-Rushing from MiLa, who are representing the Colts and the Saints for Taste of the NFL, a nonprofit that unites NFL teams and chefs to raise money for food banks in every NFL city across the country. Check out the photos of Greg and Allison below and other images from the broadcast.
1 Chef Greg filled us in on Indy tailgate foods -- pork sandwiches and beans are on the menu, while Chef Allison explained how to make her shrimp beignets.
2 BeBe and CeCe Winans are in town to headline the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration, so they stopped by to talk music and food.
3 Chef Emeril had the platinum-selling gospel/R&B duo cracking up on the air. The whole Winans family loves food, especially cheese, but Chef blew their minds by serving cheddar cheese apple pie!
4 Chef Emeril took a break between guests with his son E.J.
5 Chef Douglas Rodriguez gave us a tour of the local Miami food scene, and told us how we can add a little Cuban South Beach flavor to our tailgate parties.
6 Chef Mario Batali and "Commissioner of Tailgating" Joe Cahn swapped recipes, tailgates tales, and more than a few laughs to round out our show.
7 Now it's time for a beer out on the patio at Emeril's - the view from here includes the Loews Hotel pool and the ocean beyond!
