Whiskey Cocktails

Ever wonder about new and creative uses for the whiskey that you have left over from your last party, or a gift you received? This week Allen Katz is joined in studio by John Glaser of Compass Box Whiskey Company to taste different types of whiskey and to create some cocktails together!

Honey-Honey
Ingredients:
2 ounces Compass Box Peat Monster Whiskey
4 barspoons runny honey
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
1 ounce fresh orange juice

Directions:
1. Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.

Pineapple Blossom
Ingredients:
2 ounces Compass Box Asyla Whiskey
1 ounce pineapple juice
1/2 fresh lime juice
1/4 ounce simple syrup

Directions:
1. Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a wedge of pineapple on the rim.

Old Delancey
Ingredients:
2 ounces Buffalo Trace Bourbon
3/4 ounces fresh apple juice
1/2 ounce Compass Box Orangerie Whiskey
1/2 ounce Sweet Vermouth

Directions:
1. Roll ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with thinly shaved apple slices.

  • I used the Wild Turkeu "American Honey" bourbon in place of the whiskey and hone in the Honey-Honey cocktail and it was very good. Just thought I would share that it also works!
