Perfectly Delicious Potatoes...and Salad
Posted by Lisa Mantineo
Last Friday Everyday Food engineer, Shavon Meyers and I were treated to a delicious in studio potato tasting and salad making tutorial by our radio host, Sandy Gluck.

Sandy brought in a variety of potatoes that are great for using in potato salads.
The potato salad recipes that Sandy guided us through are available on MarthaStewart.com. Having only grown up with mayonnaise-based potato salads, Shavon decided to go a different route and make the Warm German Potato Salad, while I went straight for making the Tangy Potato Salad with Scallions, both recipes are from past issues of Everyday Food magazine. However, neither of us could pass up making or tasting a Basic Potato Salad. Check out the gallery below to see how they turned out.
1 To make the Warm German Potato Salad Shavon first got all of her ingredients in order.
2 Viola! A delicious success.
3 The Tangy Potato Salad calls for white wine vinegar, but Sandy surprised me and brought in my favorite red vinegar from a previous tasting.
4 Looks like a masterpiece to me.
5 The Basic Potato Salad was simple to put together, so Sandy brought in a delicious pickle creation to add in some extra flavor.
