I’ve needed some inspiration for my own yard for a while, and I finally found it, right in Rick’s backyard! Rick Bayless has a beautifully manicured garden space, with areas just for growing, for relaxing, and for partying! He even has a fully functional outdoor kitchen with a sink and wood fire pizza oven. Check out some of my favorite spots in his yard.
1 Just behind the house is a vegetable garden.
2 Right behind the vegetable garden is this green house and herb garden.
3 The deck has a pergola with lush grapevines covering the top. Here, Rick and his crew and putting the finishing touches on the space before the guests arrive.
4 The koi pond offers the gentle sound of flowing water.
5 This cabana is perfect for getting away from it all.
6 The greenery is everywhere! It helps to separate the different areas, making it all one calming oasis. And the tiki torches get lit before the guests arrive for a festive flair.

I want my own backyard cabana! Of course, having my own backyard would help.
