Cocktail Hour with Allen Katz: Daiquiris Galore

Dreaming of daiquiri to get you through the hot summer days? Living Today's mixologist, Allen Katz, is here to the rescue with these great summer cocktail recipes!

RUM DAISY

2 ½ oz Rum

¼ oz Yellow Chartreuse

¼ oz Real Grenadine (Like Employees Only)

¼ oz Fresh Lemon Juice

Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Strain into a white wine glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a lemon twist and a maraschino cherry.

GRAPEFRUIT DAQUIRI

2 oz Rum

2 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice

1 oz Fresh Lime Juice

½ oz Simple Syrup

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Shake ingredients over ice and strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim.

ELDER AIDE

2 oz Aged Rum

¾ oz Elderflower Liqueur

1 dash Orange Bitters

Shake ingredients over ice and strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with an orange twist.

MINT DAIQUIRI

12 Fresh Mint Leaves

2 oz Rum

½ oz Fresh Lime Juice

¼ oz Simple Syrup

Gently muddle mint leaves in a mixing glass. Add remaining ingredients and shake well over ice. Fine strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a mint leaf float.
