Sweet & sour stir fry - We like anything with Asian flair, so check out our version of the cover story from the first Everyday Food of the year. All we did was sub broccoli for green beans.

Whole grain veggie soup – using the stone soup philosophy, you really can make something from little bits of nothing. Soften everything from the root world you have, add whole grain and legume driblets (lentils, quinoa, barley), melt it together with crushed tomatoes or paste and add your liquid of choice! Soup or stew…who cares, it’s yummy!

Sliders & fries -
The Jets didn’t win, but the sliders did!  From the current EDF. We also riffed on the oven fries, adding panko, parmesan and cayenne to coat the outside along with olive oil, salt and pepper. Seriously – OMG!!

Brownies - An EDF classic – lighter brownies. I’ve served these many times, but got called out this time for using chunky applesauce not smooth. Oh well, more for me.

An ode to risotto – we love you. Once you master the basics, add what you want. This time we rendered some pancetta, then softened leaks and mushrooms. After the rice absorbs all of the wine and stock it needs, add peas, butter and grated cheese. Careful! You may lick the pot.
