Juju Chang, news anchor on ABC's "Good Morning America" and Emmy award-winning correspondent for "20/20," joined Maggie Mistal on "Making a Living" to talk balancing her demanding career with motherhood. As the mom to three boys, ages 3, 6, and 10, and the anchor on a daily television show, Juju faces many of the same challenges as most working moms-- How do you fit in time to go to the gym? Does "free time" even exist? How can you fully dedicate yourself to both your career and family?
Between skyping with her kids in her dressing room and finding a way to incorporate them into her triathlon training, Juju seems to have really found a way to balance it all. - When all else fails, lower your standards and don't pressure yourself to get EVERYTHING done
- Take micronaps for a little boost of midday energy
- Find a way to incorporate your kids into your routine-- While training for a triathlon, Juju put her 2-year-old son in the seat on the back of her bike. Not only did she get a great workout, but she managed to spend some quality time with her youngest.
- Your entire life can't just be your career and your kids. Be sure you incorporate the occasional lunch with girlfriends.
