Martha Stewart Living Radio: The Radio Blog

Amanda Hesser and Merrill Stubbs on "The Essential NY Times Cookbook" and Food52

Posted by

During yesterday's "Mad Hungry" special, Lucinda talked with Amanda Hesser, NY Times food editor and Merrill Stubbs, chef and food writer about their work on "The NY Times Essential Cookbook" and the blog, Food52, that grew from that experience. For five years, the pair tested over 1,400 recipes for the book which was released this past October. Throughout the hour, they discussed their favorite recipe titles (Heavenly Hots and The Most Voluptuous Cauliflower), the criteria used to determine which recipes made the cut, and how they came to create Food52.
