Do Valentine's Day at home this year

Posted by

Want to avoid the crowds this Valentine's Day AND knock the socks off your sweetie? Why not throw your own private Valentine's Day celebration within the comfort of your own home? Entertaining expert and designer Mark Addison joined Kim and Betsy today on Morning Living to share his ideas for a "wow table" that will undoubtedly make your loved one's jaw drop. Check out the photos below and get inspired!

Two Hearts - One Table, Mark Addison

• Paint plates with chocolate-- and leave a secret message painted (in chocolate) under dinner plate.
• Make a Victorian love note and tuck it inside of a napkin. When the napkin is opened, the Valentine will spill out and reveal the hidden love message.

• Make a "sweet nothings" centerpiece. Add paper flowers to a flower centerpiece with endearing statements to your lover written on each paper flower pedal.

• Mix up some delicious "champagne kisses": Rose Petal Kiss (Rose Petal Sorbet & Champagne) or Chocolate Kiss (Godiva Chocolate Liquor & Champagne)

• Serve up a rose petal and chocolate course! (Rose petal-coated chocolate truffles or chocolate-covered crystalized rose petals)
