Summer is finally here! Time to lighten up our cocktails to create great drinks for sipping in the great outdoors. Allen Katz has created a few brand new and original drinks to add to our hot-weather menus.
Elk's Club Fizz
1 ounce rye whiskey
1 ounce ruby port
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
1 egg white
Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a short glass. Top with a splash of seltzer and garnish with a pineapple chunk on a cocktail pick.
Gin Fizz
2 ounces Beefeater Gin
3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
1 egg white
Shake ingredients over ice and strain into short glass. Top with a splash of seltzer.
Gin Daisy
2 ounces Plymouth Gin
1 teaspoon Grand Marnier
1 teaspoon simple syrup
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with a splash of seltzer and garnish with a lemon twist.
Atomic Cocktail
1 1/2 ounces vodka
1 1/2 ounces VSOP Cognac
1 teaspoon Amontillado Sherry
Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with champagne or prosecco.
