Monday’s “Cooking Today” got off to a great start, as host Sunny Anderson treated us to delicious beer-battered fritters and a couple of great interviews with colleagues chef Jet Tila and DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia fame.
West Coast chef Jet Tila gave us the 1-0-1 on how he pulls off his pop up restaurant experiences, and also treated us to a sneak peak at some of the exciting culinary projects he has lined up. This coming spring, Jet is set to open The Charleston, a new restaurant in Santa Monica and he shared with Sunny that he will also be “popping up” on television this fall in a PBS show called “Off the Menu.”
Memphis, Tennessee native, DJ Paul Beauregard talked to Sunny about his love for barbecue and how his passion for food lead to winning VH1’s reality show, Famous Foods. The Oscar-winner and hip hop sensation also walked us through the tedious testing process behind creating his own signature line of barbecue sauces and rubs.
If you missed Monday's show, check out some of the highlights below, and tune in to “Cooking Today” today at 3 p.m. ET/ 12 p.m. PT, on Sirius XM 110.
