We’ve had a great time this week with New York chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author, Donatella Arpaia. Donatella, widely known for her reoccurring role as judge on Food Network’s “Iron Chef America” and “The Next Iron Chef,” took over the “Cooking Today” host seat, offering us a peek into her world as a culinary professional, wife and mother.
Donatella kicked off her first show by inviting weight loss and nutrition expert Dr. Sheri Emma to discuss her HCG diet, and shared her own personal struggles with losing and maintaining a healthy weight as a new mother and a food professional. Executive chef and pizzaiolo, Jarett Appell joined her to share how he makes the delicious Neapolitan-style pizza at her restaurant Donatella, and as a special treat, Donatella reunited with former “Iron Chef America” and “The Next Iron Chef” contestant, Jehangir Mehta to discuss the culturally influenced cuisine he is creating at his restaurants Graffiti and Methaphor.
