Charlotte Voisey's Cocktails!

In case you missed it: Anthony Luscia, Special Projects Editor for Weddings at MSLO, had his inaugural radio show last Friday. Going forward, the hour will be all about entertaining, weddings, and special signature cocktails of the week. So it was fitting that his first guest was Charlotte Voisey, award-winning mixologist at William Grant & Sons USA. In addition to providing Anthony with some great tips on how to match a drink with the season and how to create a perfect cocktail menu for his upcoming wedding, Charlotte instructed Anthony on how to make four drinks: the Clover Club, a Bellini, a French 75, and Tiki Time. We were lucky enough to sample the drinks she made in-studio, which were all delicious and delectable. Big thanks to Charlotte and cheers to Anthony's new show!

Clover Club
6 fresh raspberries
1 1/2 oz Hendrick's Gin
3/4 oz Lillet Rose
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz lemon juice
Optional egg white
Muddle raspberries, add other ingredients and shake well
Strain into a martini glass
Garnish with fresh raspberries

Bellini
2 oz white peach puree
3oz sparkling wine
Combine ingredients over ice and stir well
Strain into a flute
No garnish

French 75
1 oz Hendrick's Gin
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/2oz fresh lemon
3 oz sparkling wine
Combine first three ingredients and shake
Strain into a flute
Top with Sparkling wine
Garnish with a large slice of English Cucumber

Tiki Time
1 1/2 oz Sailor Jerry
3/4  oz Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur
3/4 oz or great
3/4 oz fresh lime
Combine ingredients and shake well
Garnish with a lime wheel and freshly grated nutmeg

  • I love the Bellini. I actually make lots of cocktails with sparkling wine and different types of fruit, especially berries.
